Prior Resiliency Workshops

2nd Annual Resiliency Workshop: April 7th-8th 2018

Thank you to all who participated and attended the 2nd Annual Historic Properties Resiliency Workshop on April 7th and 8th, 2018 hosted by the Center for Resiliency and Sustainability at the Miami Design Preservation League.

With an emphasis on solution-based ideas for historic preservation and resiliency, presentations incorporated multidisciplinary viewpoints with the intent to provide property owners of historic resources with short, medium, and long-term solutions. This two-day weekend event was hosted at the Miami Beach Golf Club on Saturday, April 7th, and at the Art Deco Welcome Center in the Nationally and Locally designated Miami Beach Architectural District on Sunday, April 8th.

April 8th, 2018: Site Assessments in Flamingo Park in collaboration with the Florida Public Archaeology Network

Building Elevation expert Rod Scott of the International Association of Structural Movers will educate property owners, engineers, policy makers and members of the public on the process of elevating historic buildings.

Workshop 1: Tuesday April 11th, 5pm – 630pm, 1001 Ocean Drive (Art Deco Welcome Center). 

Workshop 2: Thursday April 13th, 6pm – 8pm, 7251 Collins Ave (Unidad).
