| Non-hosted Cocktails in Historic Places Join us for our monthly series (first Thursdays) of classic cocktails in grand architectural spaces. We meet each month at a different location for great conversation, fun drinks, and a brief history of the space. Designed by architect T. Hunter Henderson in 1936, the Astor Hotel continues to reign as a bastion of luxury, modern design, and simple sophistication on Washington Avenue at 10th Street. It is a fine example of modern design elements perfectly at home in an Art Deco palace. Unique features such as the original 1936 Vitrolite wall panels, and a vertical water sculpture featured in the garden area all seamlessly combine, ushering guests into an atmosphere of contemporary elegance. |
