| Non-hosted Cocktails in Historic Places Join us for our monthly series (first Thursdays) of classic cocktails in grand architectural spaces. We meet each month at a different location for great conversation, fun drinks, and a brief history of the space. The lobby of the Winter Haven Hotel retains almost all of its original Art Deco design, including a pair of Buck Rogers ray-gun chandeliers. The only major change to this 1939 gem by Albert Anis is the addition of a cocktail bar in the lobby, so for July we'll take advantage of this spot for cool cocktails on a summer evening. |

The Miami Design Preservation League is a non-profit preservation and arts organization founded in 1976. It is devoted to preserving, protecting and promoting the architectural, cultural, social, economic, and environmental integrity of the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District (Art Deco District) as well as other areas of the city and South Florida, wherever historic preservation is a concern.
