Perhaps no building in Miami Beach has a richer history than Casa Casuarina.
From its construction in 1930 by Alden Freeman (one of the most fascinating personalities of the early history of our City), through its ownership by designer Gianni Versace who died on its steps to its present status as one of the most photographed homes in the world, Casa Casurarina has captured the imagination of millions.
Trace the amazing history of this fabled building and wonderful example of Mediterranean Revival architecture with Jack Johnson, MDPL board member and star tour guide, on Tuesday, November 15th. It starts at 7 PM at the Art Deco Welcome Center. The lecture and complimentary exhibit is free to the public. Food and drinks will be served.
Its the final installment of our Fall Lecture series on Mediterranian Revival architecture that has been the talk of South Beach this season.
