Arriving by Train

Amtrak serves Miami with passenger rail service. The Palmetto and Silver Service trains (the Silver Meteor and the Silver Star) offer daily service from Boston, New York, and Washington to Florida destinations. Please visit the Amtrak web site for information on arrivals and departures, station address, hours of service, etc.

Metro-Dade Transit connects the Amtrak station with South Beach via the Route L bus. The fare is $1.50 (pay with exact change when you board the bus), and the Route L bus terminates on the north side of Lincoln Road between Collins and Washington Avenues. (The L stops on the south side of this block for the trip back to the Amtrak station.) Travel time is approximately one hour.

For a route map and schedule of the Route L bus, please see the Miami-Dade Transit website.
