Miami Design Preservation League sponsored an en plein air () competition on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3, that brought South Florida artists to Miami Beach to paint in the outdoors. Miami Beach: Beyond Deco, the
exhibition that resulted from entries in the competition, will be on view in the Art Deco Museum and Gallery through July 17. Curated by local artist AnnaMaria Windisch Hunt, the exhibition Miami Beach scenes in a wide range of styles and medium.
The paintings created as a part of the competition will be shown at the Art Deco Museum and Gallery (1001 Ocean Dr) Miami Beach: Beyond Deco is free and open to the public, throughout the month of June and early July, on the following schedule:
