On the Road: Art Deco Celebrates the Motorcar
The 33rd Annual Art Deco Weekend®
January 15–17, 2010
Each year, Art Deco Weekend features a commissioned poster to publicize the event. The image is printed on posters, t-shirts, mugs, etc., and serves as the cover of the official program book. (These program books are considered collectibles by many people, who have amassed a complete collection!)
MDPL is always interested in finding new artistic talent, not only for the Art Deco Weekend poster, but also for exhibits or consignment sales in our Gift Shop. If you would be interested in being considered as a poster or exhibition artist, we would be glad to receive your portfolio.
Please download the Portfolio Submission Guidelines for information on how to prepare your submission package. Although we will accept submissions all year long, the deadline for 2010 Art Deco Weekend poster artists is Sunday 31 May. Portfolios will be reviewed by our Design Committee, and the winning artist will be contacted by Monday 15 June.
The 2010 Art Deco Weekend poster will be unveiled in the fall at a special press conference.
