MDPL's guided tours are a great way to get a look at the National Register Historic District and other nearby architecture. Our tours are led by knowledgeable local architects, preservationists, and historians. All tours, except the Children's Tour, last approximately 90 minutes. Note that times are subject to change, so please check when purchasing tickets. Walking tours are scheduled every hour but depart when we get a group of twenty people. Tickets are available at the MDPL Tour Booth on 10th and Ocean Dr during the following times:

Walking Tour

Takes you through the Art Deco District at a leisurely pace.

Underworld Tour

Explores the Art Deco District through the role of organized crime and other infamous acts of murder and mayhem.

Collins Park Tour

Explores the neighborhood around Collins Park, from the grand Collins Avenue hotels to MiMo apartment buildings to the Bass Museum. Tour departs from the lobby of the National Hotel, 1677 Collins Av.

Duck Tour

Takes place in open-air vehicles that travel on both land and water.

Children's Tour

For children ages 6 and up accompanied by an adult. This 45-minute free tour explores a nearby hotel, concentrating on Art Deco design. The tour begins and returns to the Art Deco Welcome Center. Following the tour, participants are invited to the Children's Art Deco Studio Booth to complete an art activity. Registration for this tour is in the MDPL Tour Booth.
